Snow Days

I figure I’d better get this post published before late tomorrow night…I may be singing a different tune about the wintry weather after the ice storm that is projected to hit our area; we’ll likely be without power for a few days.

I change my mind. I'd rather throw it.

I change my mind. I'd rather throw it.

Three snow days.

Three snow days in a row, the last three school days leading right into our school district’s two-week winter break.

Yea!…and, Boooooo! Yea, for fun in the snow :-) ; Boooooo, for the three more school days tacked to the scheduled end of the school year. If we have no more school closures, our kids will be in school until June 22. :-x

LOTS of snow. LOTS of fun…a perfect, powdery snowfight-worthy blanket of white — not the wet snow we usually get, if we get any at all here in the Puget Sound lowlands.

The two days following the filming of that video (aren’t cell phone cameras convenient?) brought about six additional inches of the same. I’m loving this!

Supposedly, 6 – 12 inches will fall late Saturday before it becomes freezing rain. Goodbye, fun snow; hello, freezing in our home until the power company gets things going again.

We may not see snow like this for 12 more years. Time for this girl to go play outside again.
